Aloha friend, Kara here. Being a hairstylist and bartender all my life, I understand the struggles of balancing family needs with the desire to contribute financially. I started my entrepreneurial journey in 2015 as The Healthy Hairstylist - think holistic hairstylist, serving green smoothies and healthy snacks while the hair color processes.
Up until that point, I was an employee at a salon and had also worked as an educator for a product company, which made me an independent contractor, not quite a business owner.
With no business background, zero experience with websites, branding, or marketing, I headed to YouTube University and taught myself everything I needed to run my own independent hair studio. It took so much time and energy to learn this all on my own, which means lots of mistakes, or discoveries as I like to call them, along the way.
My goal is to help you avoid as many as these “discoveries” as I can and to save you time and money.
